Component Handling Instructions

Handle all components with care — avoid applying excessive force or bending pins, leads, or connectors.

Do not remove labels or tags on components, as they are used for inventory tracking.

Avoid static damage — before handling ICs, microcontrollers, or sensors, touch a grounded metal surface to discharge static electricity.

Always use components on anti-static mats or breadboards, not directly on metal or wooden surfaces.

Return each item to its designated box after use.

Check for functionality before connecting power supplies — wrong polarity or overvoltage can permanently damage components.

Report any damaged or missing items immediately to the lab in-charge or faculty coordinator.

Do not modify or solder on reusable modules unless you are explicitly instructed to do so.

General Rules

Maintain discipline and cleanliness in the lab area.

No food, drinks, or water bottles are allowed near electronic components.

Use lab power sources safely — do not use external adapters without permission.

Store all personal belongings and unused items neatly before leaving.

Ensure that all borrowed components are recorded in the issue register or online tracker.
